The service gap I saw, the lessons I carried from leadership, and the kind of client experience I wanted to build.
Clients often continued calling me directly, even after my role changed. That reinforced something I had learned throughout my career: people remember who understood their situation and took responsibility for helping them.
I built Reputation Repair around that relationship. The person who understands why you came to us should stay connected to the strategy, the work and the decisions that follow.
My background spans sales, customer experience, operations and general management. Reputation work brought those disciplines together around something deeply personal: how public information affects a person’s livelihood, relationships and next opportunity.
The decision, in my own words
What did your earlier leadership experience teach you?
Working across commercial and operational roles taught me to look at the whole client experience. The initial conversation, the plan, the people delivering it, and the ongoing communication all need to connect.
In reputation work, the person who understands the concern and the person carrying out an action may be different people. The leadership responsibility is to make sure the context, priorities, and accountability travel with the work. That is a lesson I brought into the design of RR.
How does that decision shape Reputation Repair today?
We begin with what people can find and what concerns the client. We define the scope, identify the decisions that need their input, and coordinate the work around those priorities.
Specialists can support the engagement. We remain responsible for connecting the strategy, approvals, coordination, and reporting. The principle is clear accountability throughout the work, rather than expecting the client to manage the people they have hired.
How do you approach Google and AI reputation work?
Much of the foundation is shared: accurate source material, credible publishing, professional profiles and useful original content. I want that work connected in one reputation plan.
Shared deliverables are scoped once. If a particular platform requires additional placement, investigation or monitoring, we explain that additional work. Google rankings and AI answers are then measured separately so the client can understand what is actually changing.
What should a client experience as a result?
They should know where to get answers, understand what is being done, and see what remains unresolved. Updates should connect completed activity with observed changes and the next decision.
The benefit depends on the service. Someone facing damaging search results needs a realistic assessment and a coordinated response. A practice or business managing reviews needs an organized process that takes routine work off the team’s list. The same attention to ownership can support both, but the work and measures of progress are different.
What do you mean by moving faster?
I mean reducing avoidable delays in decisions, coordination, and execution. Those are parts of the service we can organize and manage.
Search engines, publishers, and other platforms make their own decisions. A more responsive service does not mean we can promise an immediate removal or a particular search position. Clear expectations are part of taking responsibility.
